Effixis is seeking highly motivated and talented students to join our team for a master thesis internship. This opportunity will allow you to work alongside our team of experts in NLP, machine learning, and AI, gaining valuable experience and contributing to exciting, cutting-edge projects. As a master thesis student at Effixis, you will be responsible for conducting original research and developing novel approaches within the field of NLP, under the guidance of experienced mentors.

Who You Are

• You are currently enrolled in a master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science or applied mathematics.
• Excellent analytical skills, familiarity with various statistical methods, a strong foundation in mathematics, and experience in research studies.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Prior experience with NLP or LLMs and cloud deployment is an asset, but not mandatory.
• Want to work in a fast-paced atmosphere where you can engage with cutting-edge data and machine learning technologies.

Key responsabilities

• Collaborate with Effixis team members to define the research question and objectives of your master thesis.
• Conduct a thorough literature review of existing state-of-the-art techniques in NLP and related areas.
• Develop and implement innovative models, algorithms, or techniques to address the research question.
• Analyse and interpret results, drawing insights and identifying opportunities for further improvement.
• Collaborate with the team to integrate your research findings into client projects or internal tools.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports, ensuring the timely completion of your master thesis.
• Document your research findings and contribute to the publication of your work in.

• Affiliated to a Swiss or Belgian university.
